The Grand Theft Auto franchise is hugely successful, but the last game came out way back in 2013. Fans have been anxiously awaiting a new game, begging parent company Rockstar for any and all details surrounding an eventual release of GTA 6, and it looks like Rockstar is finally giving them what they asked for with the drop of a GTA 6 trailer only a few days ago. However, some footage that’s supposedly from the game leaked before the trailer even had a chance to drop.

The Leaked Footage

A video clip leaked online that showed a city that resembled the Miami version of Grand Theft Auto with a character shown riding the Vice City Metro, which made fans think that they’d be heading back to Vice City in the new game. The footage was confirmed to be authentic by a source from Rockstar, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.

The clip also shows Lucia, a female protagonist, making her the first in the single-player missions of GTA 6. This further sparked rumors that there is a possibility of the addition of a minimum of two lead characters with a relationship resembling the “Bonnie and Clyde” dynamic. The clip also suggests that a youngster, probably Lucia’s kid, would be a featured character.

Speculations and Predictions

The leaked footage set rumors flying, as it was the first news of a new game fans had gotten in a long time. Lucky for fans, their speculations were confirmed when Rockstar dropped a trailer of the game.

It showed Lucia and confirmed that the game would be released in 2025. The high-quality graphics and intriguing storyline shown in the trailer have fans thrilled to find out what will happen in the Grand Theft Auto franchise’s next installment, while simultaneously frustrated by having to wait another two years to actually play it.
